Can You Hear Me Now?

Yes ... you would be able to hear me, but I couldn't hear you. Yes ... I can still call people but if they actually answered I couldn't tell. Nor could I tell who I was calling or who was calling me.
Yes ... there is a story behind this

Today (Sunday) Matt was at his usual meetings and I was getting Preston ready to meet Daddy for Sacrament meeting. I gathered all my things together; Preston (in car seat) and Sister Exby's glass dishes (from the dinner she made us when Preston was born ... whoops) in one hand, diaper bag, car keys and cell phone in the other and headed towards the car. Now there is about six stairs leading to our front door and that's where trouble starts.
Reagan+high heels+stairs+full hands= disaster.
Being the quick-thinking-super-fantastic multi-tasker that I am when I started to trip I had enough time to think... "Hmmm ... which hand should I drop the contents of so that I may stabilize myself on the hand railing?" As you can probably guess by the pictures I chose to save my child over the diaper bag, car keys, and my phone ... thus the terrific realization that
I definitely need a new phone

oh my!! Well - I'm glad you're alright... I've had my share of falling moments - and I'm usually the thing that gets the most damage, so at least it was your phone!! =D

But now you get a new phone! That will be fun!

This reminds me of the post that Taylor put up about her biffing it face first in the snow going to church. I guess it runs in the family:)

NO WAY! I was just telling the story of the time I broke my phone in half, like 2 hours ago. Weird. It was on condo row...I remember I called mom and told her to call me on Shaylee's phone. I think you came over to comfort me. funny!

I think falling down stairs must run in the family. . .people at work still laugh about my mishaps. Glad you and Preston are ok!
